Skilled Nursing Facilities
When our community needs long-term care, we turn to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF’s) to assist us in caring for our loved ones or ourselves as we live through various stages in life. As our population ages, our dependence on these facilities grows. In California, these facilities fall under the jurisdiction of OSHPD/HCAI and are directly impacted by AB 2511 and OSHPD’s PIN 74.
Tanner Engineering has completed projects in all sizes of skilled nursing facilities. From remodeling patient rooms and corridors, replacing/upgrading mechanical equipment to upgrading normal and emergency electrical systems.
Recently Tanner has worked on some of ground-breaking microgrid projects. These projects bring greater reliability, energy cost savings, and increased sustainability to some Skilled Nursing facilities. Tanner Engineering has designed microgrids for the last 10 years. And now that the California Electrical code allows them to be used at Healthcare facilities, Tanner Engineering has worked closely with OSHPD/HCAI to develop the design review standards of these systems. We have designed and permitted 5 of the first 7 microgrid projects ever permitted through OSHPD/HCAI.
