Target Stores and Distribution Centers
47 Various Locations
Target Corporation strives to lead the way in sustainable operations and recognizes that meeting energy needs through solar is good for the community and environment. The installation of photovoltaic systems on the rooftops of Target stores and Target distribution centers in San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Alameda, Tulare, and other counties in California are part of a total 203.5MW of installed solar capacity. These installations produce enough electricity to power 54,400 US homes and eliminate the emissions of 325,000 metric tons of CO2 each year.
This project was part of Target’s goal of having rooftop solar panels on 500 buildings by 2020.
